Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Add the nylon mesh infusion filter, and your Cestari Kitchen pitcher becomes a cold brew coffee maker. Cold brew coffee is much smoother than coffee made with boiling water; you keep all the flavor, but lose the bitterness.
The basic ratio of coffee to water is 1:4, but you can increase or decrease it according to how strong you like your coffee. If you’re making cold brew concentrate, to which you’ll add hot water for regular coffee, you’ll want it stronger, for iced coffee the basic 1:4 ratio is usually good, although if you like a lighter taste, you can reduce the amount of grounds used.
To create flavored cold brew, consider adding some ground cinnamon chunks or pieces of a vanilla bean to the grounds before adding the water.

Beyond Water, Coffee, Juice, and Tea – Infusions for Adults

Make blueberry vodka with the infusion pitcher, fresh natural blueberries and vodka. Mash the berries if you’d like the vodka to have a tinge of blue – or leave them whole to keep the vodka clear.

Fill your infuser tube or mesh filter with crushed red peppers, jalapenos, or even habanero peppers (if you can handle the heat)! The longer the peppers steep in the liquor, the hotter the tequila.

One of our favorite blends flavors rum with cinnamon and vanilla beans. Use the regular infuser tube if you are using whole beans and cinnamon sticks; smaller pieces are best in the mesh filter.
