Looking at this just as an insulated water bottle, ignoring the National Parks aspect – it works great! It kept ice in my water for several hours (not sure "ice cold for 24 hours" is purely true, in all circumstances…) but hyperbole aside, it's an effective insulated bottle. It holds the rated 32oz of liquid easily, and has a normal "Straw" mouthpiece like a lot of other bottles. The mouthpiece folds down effectively over the vent hole and shuts the straw valve properly when folded, so there's no leaking if the bottle tips over. It has a sturdy handle strap that can be clipped to a carabiner or held with fingers. What's not to like?
As an extra bonus, it comes with an extendable bottle brush… an extra "Straw" tube… and a brush to clean out the straw. Very much appreciated! Water bottles are SO much better for the environment than disposable bottles, but, it's important to keep them clean. Having these tools in the drawer next to the sink will help me do that.
The fun bit, which might be a gimmick but somehow really isn't – the outside of the bottle is printed with the sixty-three "National Parks" in black-and-white images… and it comes with full-color stickers to place over each one once you've visited them. I've visited 13 of the 63 myself, and had a fun time locating the stickers & where they go on the bottle. Time will tell how the stickers' adhesive holds up and how the print will fare; but the adhesive "Seems" plenty strong and the stickers have a clear-coat so should have a decent life. And it's inspiration to visit more! I'll be at Acadia in a month, and look forward to putting that sticker on.
I have, now, five different water bottles I could take to the gym… and this is my favorite one! Great product!
