Are the Elk and Friends mason drinking jars safe for toddlers to use?

Yes! Our jars are made from durable glass and wrapped in a food grade silicone sleeve for extra protection. They’re 100% BPA, PVC and phthalate free, safe for little hands and every day family use.

Do the jars leak if tipped over?

The drinking lid seals tightly to prevent spills, however are not leak proof. The straw features a built-in stopper to help stop curious little ones from pulling it out. The storage lid has a silicone seal to lock in freshness and prevent leaks.

What drinks can I use these cups for?

They’re great for water, smoothies, milk and juices. The straw design is open-ended (no valve), allowing thicker drinks like smoothies and shakes to flow easily.

Can I put these in the dishwasher?

Absolutely! We designed every part – glass jar, silicone sleeve, straws and lids to be all dishwasher safe. You don’t even need to remove the silicone sleeve when cleaning! We do recommend the top rack for easy cleaning and long lasting use.

Are the lids interchangeable or compatible with other Elk and Friends drinking jars?

Yes! Our 8oz lids are designed to be mixed and matched across our Elk and Friends mason jar range, fitting our 12oz glass mason jars, 10oz and 14oz stainless steel mason jars.
