Update: I'm going to be ordering the three-section carrier. I really like this wine tote, and as I mentioned in my previous review, the rustic (yet oddly professional) feel is a draw. One of the reasons I'm going to be purchasing another is because I loaned mine to another person who has hemmed and hawed about returning it. They love it too. So I gifted it to them and will be buying another.
There are several complaints about the ease of scratching/marking the waxed cotton. Yeah. That's the nature of the beast. I personally love it. Others, not so much.

I really like this because I like German, Austrian, and Alsatian wines, each of which is usually bottled into long, tall, skinny bottles. Most carriers can't be closed because of that factoid. This particular carrier renders that problem moot.
I love the somewhat rustic feel of the waxed fabric exterior. It feels oddly professional while not calling a lot of attention to itself. To be honest, I wished I'd ordered the 3-bottle bag instead!

I picnic all the time from spring to fall, and I am absolutely in love with this wine bag. It perfectly holds any bottles of similar size to a wine bottle, and if you flatten one or both compartment dividers within, you can increase the size of the containers, such as a bottle of wine with a 2L bottle of something else. (Dividers are sewn in on one side and cannot be completely removed. The other side is attached with Velcro which can be detached, but only to flatten against the side of the bag.)
The bag is not thermal (but has a vinyl lining that can easily clean up any spills) and has no snap or zipper to close the top. Mainly, you want this bag for it's good looks and simple style. Two pockets on the sides can hold your bottle opener and other small accessories, but that's it. If you don't require a bag with too much going on, and you're looking for a deep rich colour that for some reason is hard to find, then this is perfect.
