Rumoured LEGO Batman Tumbler now said to be remote-control

LEGO Technic’s rumoured new Batman Tumbler is now said to be remote-controlled, with a price-per-piece ratio that backs up that assertion…

The first hint of a new LEGO Technic Batmobile emerged at the beginning of the year, with further reports painting it as the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy shortly after. Instagram user Brick Clicker now reports (via FanKlockow) that 42239 Remote Control Tumbler will debut on July 1, coming in at 719 pieces for an estimated price of $179.99 in the US.

Remote-controlled LEGO sets never come cheap, and that’s a price-per-piece ratio that hews closely to the likes of 2024’s 42176 Porsche GT4 e-Performance Race Car (at 834 pieces for $169.99) and 2025’s 42214 Lamborghini Revuelto (at 1,135 pieces for $189.99). It wouldn’t be our first RC Batmobile, either: 2018 brought us 76112 App-Controlled Batmobile, although that was a regular System rather than Technic set.

There’s not much else to go on at the moment for 42239 Remote Control Tumbler, and indeed even the details listed here should be taken with the usual pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group.
